Thank you!

Well flower season is over for Flowers from the Farm.

Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed my flowers! Thank you for your support.

Hope to see you next year!

And on a side note, things on the farm are definitely picking up. We finally watered the blueberries for the first time this year...which is crazy not watering until the end of June but that's just how the weather went this year. We have all our corn planted and it is just peeking out of the ground now! Beans are up too. The watering ritual begins!

Looks like we may be harvesting our first picking of blueberries the end of this week or beginning of next. I really can't believe it's almost July.

Happy Summer to you all!!

Almost the end of the season. All 4" are now $2.00!

Almost the end of the season here at Flowers from the Farm. We set up a little stand at our barn along 99E over Memorial Day weekend and did very well out there. That was very encouraging. My poor husband hurt his back though unloading one of my heavy signs. He was a trooper though and stayed out there with me. The rest of the weekend, he was flat on his back though. No camping for us this year.

So I have some plants left and they all look very nice still. All 4" pots are now $2.00! What a deal for you guys! I posted pictures of some of the stuff I have left. Diamond Frost above is still available.

Creeping Jenny is available. Great ground cover/trailing plant. Likes part shade/shade and also does great in mixed planters. It is a perennial also.

6-pack marigolds...looking nice and bright. 2.00 each also.

Licorice Plant. Nice and big! Instant gratification :) They look great in mixed baskets and planters. Adds a neat texture. Especially with pinks and purples in my opinion.

Basil (2 kinds)
Also perennial Gaillardia Mesa Yellow in gallon pots are still available. $7.00 each. A few are just about to bloom....FINALLY! :) I'll post when I have a bloom I can show you.

2 mixed baskets left....this one is red and white, then I have a nice light pink petunia one with sweet potato vine. $23 each.

And isn't this the cutest picture ever! Just had to share it with you!

Here is our little stand we set up along the road. Always fun to meet new people that like our flowers!
So for an update on hours...I am still open M-F 9-5. As for Saturdays, I won't be around this weekend because I am moving. And the following Saturdays it just depends on how many plants I have left. If you want me to meet with you on a Sat, just give me a call and we'll see if it will work. But otherwise, just come and bring small bills or a check and leave your money in the office door. Self-service :) (Debit machine won't be available).

Lots of beautiful plants left!

My hanging baskets were sure snatched up quickly, thanks to you all! I can't wait to plant more next year. They turned out so nice! I have one precious basket left...purple and white combo.

James and I did plant up a few more mixed baskets. They will fill out quickly with all this nice warm weather!

Still have lots of 4" annual/perennials to choose from! And looking quite beautiful.

The marigold 6-packs are extra great looking.

Also several kinds of tomatoes....cherry, yellow grape and regular medium size tomatoes. Also cucumber starts and green pepper plants.

Things on the farm are quickly getting busy...fertilizing blueberries, getting ground worked up in order to plant at the beginning of next month and lots of other projects that are always coming up.
If I am not around the flower stand when you come, just give me a call (my number is posted at the stand), and I"ll come running!

Thank you to everyone that has already came by!

The sun is shining today and no rain! I can hardly believe it :)

Hanging Baskets are full and blooming!

Baskets $23.00 each.

The last few nights keep predicting the temperature will drop to the low 30s. The first night, we moved EVERYTHING back in the greenhouse....oh the days I wish I had a selling greenhouse!! :) Last night, we just covered everything with plastic. Everything is fine and I don't think it dropped as low as predicted. Thankfully.

Above: Gaillardia Mesa Yellow are now planted in larger pots. They will be spectacular when in bloom. The yellow bloom above is what it will look like. And even better, it is a perennial!

A few friends and I made up some living wreaths the other day! I was thinking I should have a class on how to make them one of these years. Anyone interested? The metal wreath frames run about $20, so a little spendy but the second year you make one, you just have to buy the moss and flowers so it won't be as much.

6-pack marigolds are starting to bloom! 2.50 per 6-pack.
The basils are about ready to sell. The peppers are still a bit small so another week or so for those....it's still a bit early to plant them in the garden anyway.

The weather has definitely been a little funky this year....windy days for a week straight, then bright sunshine and pouring down rain in the same hour. Today and tomorrow look like it will be beautiful so head on over when it's nice!

So to give you an update, I dug the hole for my hanging basket display holder. It really wasn't that painful :) Thankfully it has rained a decent amount lately so it was pretty soft. I have some pictures so I will post those soon. I tried to make it look like I was working hard! haha

I'm just getting the final things ready in order to be open on Saturday.

See you guys soon!

Growing!

This picture makes me happy! This is a Supertunia Bordeaux.

Hanging baskets are growing bigger. The Blue Velvet is the only flower in bloom now on the baskets, but the other colors are close behind!

Million Bells

Geraniums
Sweet Potato Vine

Purple petunias are starting to open.

This above is my project I am working on. I was trying to think of a way to display my hanging baskets. I still need to attach three more pieces of pipe in the opposite direction...like in a x shape. Then I need to dig the deep hole. Should get pictures of me doing that....hopefully I'll have a smile on my face :)

Doesn't look like we will get the additional greenhouse built in time to sell out of this year. But that is the plan for next year. So this year, I will be selling in front of the office again.

I definitely have a big case of flower fever...can't wait to make up the planters at my house. Trying to wait patiently though.

Anyway, just wanted to show more pictures of how things are progressing.
