The sun is shining today and no rain! I can hardly believe it :)
Hanging Baskets are full and blooming!
Baskets $23.00 each.
The last few nights keep predicting the temperature will drop to the low 30s. The first night, we moved EVERYTHING back in the greenhouse....oh the days I wish I had a selling greenhouse!! :) Last night, we just covered everything with plastic. Everything is fine and I don't think it dropped as low as predicted. Thankfully.
Above: Gaillardia Mesa Yellow are now planted in larger pots. They will be spectacular when in bloom. The yellow bloom above is what it will look like. And even better, it is a perennial!
A few friends and I made up some living wreaths the other day! I was thinking I should have a class on how to make them one of these years. Anyone interested? The metal wreath frames run about $20, so a little spendy but the second year you make one, you just have to buy the moss and flowers so it won't be as much. 6-pack marigolds are starting to bloom! 2.50 per 6-pack. The basils are about ready to sell. The peppers are still a bit small so another week or so for those....it's still a bit early to plant them in the garden anyway. The weather has definitely been a little funky this year....windy days for a week straight, then bright sunshine and pouring down rain in the same hour. Today and tomorrow look like it will be beautiful so head on over when it's nice!
Take Exit 263 off I-5. Turn East off the freeway ramp, toward Downtown Brooks. (You would be turning right if going north on I-5). Cross over the railroad tracks and take a left at the next street called Pueblo. Follow that road around the 90 degree corner and turn in at the big blue farmhouse. We are between Brooks Elementary and Willamette Valley Christian School.
I work on my family's farm and we grow blueberries, apples, grass seed and also this year, corn and beans. But I sure do love growing flowers!
